Good (G)

Guitar
A guitar in "Good" condition shows slight signs of use but has been carefully cared for. Any imperfections should be cosmetic and not affect playability. The guitar's surface may have minor wear and light scratches, but these do not affect the sound. The finish may be slightly uneven in some areas, but this should be barely noticeable. The frets and neck are in good condition but may have very slight unevenness. The gig bag and case (if included) show slight wear.

Drums
There are a few minor signs of wear and tear or scratches. The drum set has been set up and played, but handled carefully – it hasn't been subjected to excessive wear and tear. The finish may have some slight imperfections, but these are hardly noticeable.
Hardware: There are slight signs of wear, small, thin scratches in the chrome, the felt pads don't look new, but everything is in good condition.

Cymbals
The cymbals have been played and show slight signs of wear on the surface. They have no cracks or deep scratches and have been handled with care.

Amp/guitar cabinet
The tolex shows slight signs of wear. There are light scratches on the ball corners. Everything has been handled with care and is in perfect working order.

Fair (F)

Guitar
Many of the flaws that are also present in a "Good" condition guitar are more pronounced here. There are imperfections and clear signs of wear. The guitar's surface may have several light scratches, and the finish is uneven in some places and possibly slightly faded, though this does not affect the sound. The frets and neck are in acceptable condition but may have some unevenness. The gig bag and case (if included) are worn but still usable.

Drums
There are a number of minor scuffs/scratches, as well as more noticeable scratches in the paint and chrome. The drum set has clearly been played, but not treated as carefully as a "Good" set would. However, the bearing edges of the shells are still in good condition and do not require repair.
Hardware: Shows more signs of wear, blemishes, and scratches than a good example. The chrome may be slightly chipped or have small cracks. Some screws need replacing.

Cymbals
The cymbals show clear signs of wear on the surface. They have scratches and the manufacturer's logo is partially visible. The inner holes are worn but without cracks, and the sound is not affected.

Amp/guitar cabinet
The tolex covering shows more signs of wear, blemishes, and/or dents than a good example. The front grille cloth may have small tears. The cabinet may have more noticeable blemishes and signs of wear than a good example, and the tolex may also be discolored. However, it is still in good working order.
